On the afternoon of September 1st, the opening ceremony for the 2024 MPA (Master of Public Administration) postgraduates at China University of Mining and Technology was successfully held in the auditorium of the School of Public Policy & Management. Attending the ceremony were Yu Wei, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Public Policy & Management, Dean Wang Yibao, Deputy Secretary Liu Haiming, Deputy Deans Wang Feng, Yan Qingwu, and Li Aibin, Members of the Professors' Committee at the School of Public Policy & Management, and teacher representatives. Professor Zhu Chunhui from Fudan University, Professor Liu Bangcheng from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Professor Jin Taijun from Nanjing Audit University, Director Xie Jiahong from the National MPA Education Steering Committee Secretariat Office, and County Magistrate Lu Fei of Feng County were also invited to the ceremony. The ceremony was presided over by Deputy Dean Wang Feng.

The ceremony officially began with the solemn national anthem. Dean Wang Yibao first introduced the development history of the School of Public Policy & Mangement and the trajectory of MPA at the university. He also expressed his hope that the new students would focus on academics and work hard in the next three years of graduate study, applying public administration knowledge to their work to achieve a deep integration of knowledge and career.

Following this, Professor Zhu Chunhui delivered a speech in which he encouraged the 2024 MPA postgraduates to be brave in pioneering and actively enterprising, spending three wonderful and meaningful years on campus. Professor Liu Bangcheng, drawing on his own academic career and teaching experience at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, offered valuable study advice to the new students from multiple perspectives. Director Xie Jiahong used detailed data to illustrate the importance of MPA studies in the career of public servants, and sincerely congratulated the students on joining the MPA program at the university. Professor Jin Taijun engaged in in-depth exchanges with the students about MPA studies, hoping that the class of 2024 MPA graduates would gain true knowledge, make genuine friends, and grow into more professional public servants for the country. County Magistrate Lu Fei, as an alumnus representative, shared his experiences from grassroots work, offered several suggestions for current grassroots management, and warmly welcomed the students to the School of Public Policy & Management family. Finally, the student representative, Wang Xiaotong, expressed her anticipation for the next three years of study and her determination to improve herself. The ceremony concluded successfully with the resonant university anthem.
