Delegation Led by Dean of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration Visits Our School

On the afternoon of June 17th, our school held a meeting on the MPA cooperative education program and other matters of exchange and cooperation with the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration in Room A508. Attendees included Dean Natalia Abramova and Master Program Director Anastasia Grozman from the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, as well as Dean Wang Yibao, Deputy Deans Yan Qingwu and Wang Feng, and other relevant faculty members from the School of Public Policy&Management at China University of Mining and Technology. Additionally, Wu Haodong, project leader of  Russia-China Cultural and Educational Development Foundation, Zhu Yue, director of Study Abroad and High-End Training Program, Manager Li Xiaoliang from Oriental Navigator (Beijing) Education Technology Co., Ltd., and Russian translator Ms. Li Yan also attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Vice Dean Wang Feng.


At the beginning of the meeting, Yu Wei, secretary of the Party Committee of School of Public Policy&Management, delivered a welcome speech and introduced the Chinese representatives. Following this, Dean Natalia Abramova introduced the Russian representatives from the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration. Subsequently, Dean Wang Yibao provided an overview of our university and the school to the Russian representatives. The Russian side expressed their gratitude for the introduction and indicated that they saw the potential and direction for cooperation. Next, Master Program Director Anastasia Grozman gave an overall introduction of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, including the profile, characteristics, and international student status of the School of Public Policy and Management.


The core topic of the meeting was the Sino-Russian MPA cooperative education program. Dean Wang Yibao discussed with the Russian side in more detail on issues such as admission requirements, teaching methods, and degree conferral. Meanwhile, the Russian side provided an in-depth introduction to the master's program proposal, and both sides exchanged views on details such as the program duration, teaching language, teaching methods, curriculum, graduation requirements, thesis and defense requirements, and the number of first-time recruits.


After the discussion on the MPA cooperative education matters, the meeting moved on to discuss other models of cooperation. The Russian side expressed their desire to cooperate with us on undergraduate student exchange programs. Both sides explored open-ended discussions on potential areas of cooperation, such as summer school programs and short-term study abroad programs, aiming to find more opportunities for cooperation to promote exchanges and collaboration in the fields of education and scientific research.


At the end of the meeting, gifts were exchanged between the two sides, and a group photo was taken to further deepen mutual understanding and friendship. This meeting not only laid the foundation for cooperation between the two sides on the MPA program but also paved the way for future educational exchanges and scientific research cooperation.


The successful holding of this meeting marks a solid step for the School of Public Policy&Management at China University of Mining and Technology and the School of Public Policy and Management at the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration in educational cooperation, indicating in-depth cooperation and joint development in the field of public administration education in the future.
