Profile:
Dr. Yu Xiaodong is a lecturer at the School of Public Policy& Management (School of Emergency Management) at China University of Mining and Technology. He is also an expert in theoretical policies and regulations at the China Academy of Safety Science and Technology under the Ministry of Emergency Management. Dr. Yu holds a Ph.D. in Law (Political Science). Additionally, he serves as a part-time researcher at the China Rural Research Institute of Central China Normal University, which is a key research base for humanities and social sciences designated by the Ministry of Education. He has been appointed as an information think tank expert by the Xuzhou Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China.
Dr. Yu’s research focuses on empirical studies, providing scientific research and policy consulting services. He has led over 10 projects at various levels, including the National Social Science Fund and Jiangsu Provincial Social Science Fund. Reports authored by him have received endorsements from national leaders and he has been invited to participate in specialized discussions organized by leading ministries in Beijing.
His primary research areas include rural governance and Chinese politics, local governance and public policy, and theoretical and practical aspects of emergency management.
