Chao Xu, born in 1975, from Xiayi, Henan Province, China University of Mining and Technology, Institute of Public Administration, Professor, Director of the Department of Emergency Management, Doctor of Political Science. His research interests are in emergency management, focusing on the areas of data technology and emergency management, digital emergency planning. He had a bachelor degree from China University of Mining and Technology, a master degree in administrative management from Xiamen University, a PhD in political theory from Jilin University, and a visiting scholar at Colorado School of Mines. He has published more than 20 papers in China Administration and other journals, edited Twelve Lectures on Emergency Management, Introduction to Emergency Management, and translated The Politics of Mine Safety in the U.S.A. He has led one project of the National Social Science Foundation, more than 10 other projects at provincial and ministerial levels, and presided over more than 20 horizontal projects, and has given dozens of training lectures for local emergency departments every year.
