Wang Yibao

Professor, PhD supervisor, and Dean of the School of Public Policy and Management (School of Emergency Management) of China University of Mining and Technology.

He attained a bachelor's degree from Lanzhou University, a master's degree from China University of Mining and Technology, a Ph.D. from Jilin University, and worked as a postdoctoral fellow from Central China Normal University. He was a visiting scholar at the University of Illinois (1 year) in 2015 and the University of Birmingham ( 3 months) in 2007, University of Copenhagen (1 month) in 2018.

He served as the director of the Jiangsu Provincial Public Security Innovation Research Center (provincial base) in 2017 and the chief advisor to National Social Science Fund's major project "Research on the Public Security Emergency Framework System in the New Era" between 2023 to 2026. Moreover, he has undertaken more than 10 national, provincial and ministerial level scientific research projects, and produced high-quality academic publications. He has written more than 60 academic articles, edited 6 books, and gained 5 awards including the first-ranking and third-ranking prizes of the provincial and ministerial level scientific research outstanding achievement awards.
