Bin Yang, born in November 1992, Ph.D., is an associate professor and master’s supervisor. He is a member of the China Geographical Society and the China Natural Resources Society. In June 2015, he graduated from China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) with a bachelor’s degree in land resource management. In June 2021, he obtained a Ph.D. degree in management from the same university in the field of land resource management, with a direct progression from master’s to doctoral studies. From October 2019 to October 2020, he conducted joint training at the Department of Geography, University of Connecticut, USA.
In July 2021, Dr. Yang joined the School of Public Administration, China University of Mining and Technology, working in the Department of Land Resource Management. His main focus is on teaching and research in the field of land use and management. His main research areas include land use and management, land consolidation, and rural transformation and development. He is also focused on farmland protection and food security. He has led or participated in more than 20 research projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation, the Ministry of Education’s Humanities and Social Sciences Foundation, the Philosophy and Social Sciences Research Foundation of Jiangsu Higher Education Institutions, the National Land and Resources Science and Technology Program, the China Geological Survey Project, the Excellent Doctoral Innovation Fund, and the Open Fund of the Key Laboratory of Legal Research of the Ministry of Natural Resources. He has published over 20 academic papers in journals such as the Journal of Environmental Management, Journal of Cleaner Production, Journal of Geographical Sciences, Ecological Indicator, China Land Science, and so on. Dr. Yang has received honors and awards, including the Excellent Research Achievement Award in Humanities and Social Sciences in Hubei Province and the National Scholarship for Ph.D. Students.
