On the morning of September 17, Ms. Xu Shanshan, person in charge of visiting programs at the University of Cambridge and the University of Oxford, paid a visit to our school to hold discussions on deepening international exchange and cooperation. The meeting was held in Meeting Room A508 of the school building. Xu Yang from the University Office of International Cooperation and Exchanges and Yu Wei, Secretary of the School Party Committee, attended the meeting. The session was presided over by Associate Professor Gong Yunlong, Director of the School Office of International Cooperation and External Exchanges.
At the meeting, Ms. Xu Shanshan first gave a brief introduction to the customized curriculum model of the Cambridge and Oxford visiting programs, arrangements for foreign university faculty visits to China, and other relevant information. Combining the disciplinary characteristics of the school with the university’s goal of international education, Gong Yunlong systematically presented the basic profile of the school. Led by Secretary Yu, the two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on core topics including student visiting programs, faculty recruitment, and customized curriculum development, clarifying the follow-up cooperation direction under the principle of demand-oriented and results-focused implementation.
Detailed discussions were held on matters tailored to postgraduate students, such as visiting programs of more than three months, curriculum design, faculty development, formulation of cost standards, and surveys on student intentions, with corresponding follow-up items established.
This discussion has laid a solid foundation for our school to deepen international exchanges and cooperation, improve the quality of talent cultivation, and enhance disciplinary development. Both sides agreed to take this discussion as a starting point, strengthen close coordination and efficient implementation, and promote the early implementation and effectiveness of cooperative projects.
