On the morning of May 13, Professor Fu Guangwan from China University of Political Science and Law was invited to our institute to deliver a special academic report titled “Concerns about Current Digital Public Governance in China.” The event was hosted by Vice Dean Li Aibin and attended by Professor Wang Chao and Mr. Yu Xiaodong from the Emergency Management Department, as well as Associate Professor Yu Haiping and Ms. Wang Li from the Department of Public Administration, along with other faculty members and students.
Vice Dean Li Aibin extended a warm welcome to Professor Fu Guangwan, introducing his main research areas and academic achievements. He encouraged the faculty and students to seize this learning opportunity to enhance their policy analysis and quantitative research skills.
Professor Fu Guangwan began by introducing the basic concepts and development of digital public governance. Drawing on his own research experience and insights in the field, he further elaborated on the importance and practical significance of digital public governance. He highlighted a series of current issues in Chinese digital public governance and emphasized the critical procedures necessary for conducting quantitative analysis. Finally, by presenting typical and specific research cases, he vividly explained the methodological framework of quantitative analysis, providing the attendees with a deeper understanding and insight into digital public governance.
