The seminar and review meeting on the "Proposal Discipline Task Book for the Fourth Phase of Jiangsu University Advantageous Discipline Construction Project" was held on the afternoon of December 25th in Room A508. The meeting invited external experts, Professor Zhou Lulin, the leader of the Social Medicine and Health Care Management discipline at the School of Management, Jiangsu University, and Professor Zhu Tianzhi, the leader of the MPA discipline at the School of Public Administration and Sociology, Jiangsu Normal University. Internal experts, Professor Lv Tao and Professor Dong Feng from the School of Economics and Management, also attended the seminar and review. School of Public Policy and Management Party Committee Secretary Yu Wei, Dean Wang Yibao, Vice Dean Yan Qingwu, Wang Feng, and Li Aibin, as well as Professor Zhang Changli, the first level discipline leader of the School of Policy and Management, department heads, and subject office teachers attended the meeting. The meeting is chaired by Vice President Wang Feng.

Dean Wang Yibao warmly welcomed the arrival of the experts and gave a brief introduction to the development history of the School of Public Policy&Management. According to the agenda of the meeting, the expert group elected Professor Zhou Lulin as the chairman of the seminar and review, who then organized the review. Professor Zhao Liyu, the director of the discipline office, made a report covering the foundation of advantageous discipline construction (discipline development history, advantages and characteristics, research directions, representative achievements, industry-university-research collaboration, and social services), construction goals and development ideas, reform measures, key tasks, and organizational support. After discussions and speeches by the expert group members, discipline leaders, and department heads on the specific indicators of the target task book, including goal setting, standard references, content planning, achievement time definition, internationalization connotations, specific modification suggestions were provided.

Secretary Yu Wei concluded the seminar and review meeting, expressing gratitude to the experts for their valuable guidance amidst their busy schedules. He believed that the meeting was highly productive, and the experts provided very specific guidance on the overall structure, ideas, content, and expression of the target task book for advantageous disciplines. The school will make adjustments to the content of the target task book based on the expert opinions. He urged discipline leaders and department heads to provide more constructive suggestions for discipline construction and contribute more to the development of the discipline.

Through this meeting, the future development goals and directions of the first-level discipline of public administration were further clarified. The school will continue to intensify efforts in discipline construction, further refine the goals and tasks of the discipline of public administration, and promote the construction of the discipline to a higher level.
