The School of Public Policy&Management Held Experience Sharing Session on Postgraduate Recommendation

The experience sharing session on postgraduate recommendation was held on the evening of December 25th in Room A501 of the Humanities Building. The event was aimed at first-year students (Grade of 2023) and and Xia Fanting, a graduate student majoring in administrative management of 2022 grade, was invited to share her experience. Chen Yan, the counselor of grade 2023, and Wang Xin, a part-time counselor, attended the event. Students of grade 2023 from related majors also participated, and the sharing session was hosted by Fu Jingyu.

The event mainly consisted of two parts: the sharing of experiences on postgraduate recommendation and academic learning, and an interactive Q&A session. During the experience sharing segment, Xia Fanting offered advice and suggestions to the participating students on various aspects such as course learning, overall competency enhancement, directions for pursuing graduate studies, the application process, and important considerations. She emphasized the importance of planning one's career in advance, setting clear goals, improving overall competency in areas such as course learning and research competitions, and actively participating in various research projects and innovation competitions. Xia Fanting also encouraged students to stay informed about the policies and requirements of major universities for recommending students who are exempt from taking the graduate entrance examination, tailor their skill development accordingly, and lay a solid foundation for future development. Additionally, she advised students not to be easily discouraged by challenges during their academic journey, to learn self-regulation, and to strive for excellence continuously. Xia Fanting expressed her hope that all students would have a fulfilling and joyful university experience. During the interactive Q&A session, students actively asked questions, and Xia Fanting engaged in detailed discussions and provided answers regarding professional research directions and academic competitions.

This experience sharing session, facilitated through peer-to-peer communication and guidance, helped the students of grade 2023 to further enhance their understanding of the major, clarify their future efforts, and contribute to fostering a positive learning atmosphere within the class.
