
Professor Jin Gui is a distinguished scholar, doctoral supervisor, and a nationally recognized young talent. He is recognized as a leading scientific and technological talent in the field of land and resources planning by the Ministry of Natural Resources' high-level scientific and technological innovation program. His research focus is on land resource management. Professor Jin has led multiple projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, sub-topics of the National Key Research and Development Plan, and the Humanities and Social Sciences Fund of the Ministry of Education.
He has published over 70 papers as the first or corresponding author, with more than 40 of these papers indexed in the Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI) or Science Citation Index (SCI). Several of his papers have been identified as ESI hot papers or highly cited papers. He has also published three monographs, including "Optimization and Management of Land Spatial Utilization."
His research achievements have been honored with awards such as the Young Talent Award from the Outstanding Scientific Research Achievements of Higher Education Institutions (Humanities and Social Sciences), the Second and Thirteenth Hubei Province Outstanding Social Science Achievement Awards, and the Second Prize of the Land and Resources Science and Technology Award.
Professor Jin serves as an editorial board member for the journal Applied Geography and the youth editorial board member for Fundamental Research. His theoretical perspectives have been published on central and provincial media platforms multiple times. He has also mentored undergraduate and graduate students who have won over 10 national and provincial-level competition awards.
