Profile:

Hu Zhenqi, male, Ph.D., professor, doctoral supervisor, director of the Engineering Research Center of the Ministry of Education for Mining Environment and Ecological Safety, and director of the Beijing Institute of Strategic Development of Energy Resources. He is a member of the Coordination Committee of the International Affiliation of Land Reclamationists (China Representative), a life member of the American Society of Mining and Reclamation, the Chairman of the Professional Committee of Land Reclamation and Ecological Restoration of the China Coal Society.

He has presided over and completed more than 100 projects, such as the Natural Science Foundation of China, the National 863 Program, and the National Science and Technology Support Program, etc. His research achievements have won three second-class National Scientific and Technological Progress Awards (including two first-class awards), National Innovation Excellence Award, Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress of HO LEUNG HO LEE FOUNDATION, more than 20 provincial and ministerial scientific and technological progress awards, and more than 40 authorized national invention patents. He has organized and hosted the 1st, 2nd and 3rd International Symposium on Land Reclamation and Ecological Restoration in 2014, 2017 and 2021 as the conference chairman, and edited and published the proceedings of the international conferences.
