Profile:

Jianying Xiao is an associate professor at the School of Public Administration, China University of Mining and Technology, and a postdoctoral fellow at the School of Environment and Surveying and Mapping, China University of Mining and Technology. She studied at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, USA as a visiting scholar during 2019-2020.

In June 2013, she graduated from the School of Public Administration of Huazhong University of Science and Technology with a Doctor's degree in management, during which she won the National Scholarship for doctoral students and the honorary titles of "Top Ten Academic Talents" for graduate students of Huazhong University of Science and Technology.

Her research interests include land use and risk management. She has hosted and participated in 10 scientific research projects. She has published 16 academic papers as the first author or corresponding author, of which 7 were retrieved by CSSCI and 8 by SSCI/SCI. She has published two monographs and participated in compiling two teaching materials, participated in 6 international and domestic academic conferences and delivered 2 keynote speeches. One of the researches she participated in won 1 provincial development research award.
