On the afternoon of April 2nd, our school held the discussion meeting on the MPA cooperative education project between the school of public policy and management and the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration. Attendees included Natalia Abramova, Director of the Risk Control and Management Department of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, Elena Prokhorova, Deputy Director, as well as Fu Binlin, Deputy Secretary-General of the Russia-China Education and Culture Development Foundation (RCF), Wu Haodong, Responsible Person for Sino-Russian International Education, and Ms. Yang Shuo, Russian interpreter. Participants from our side included Yu Wei, Secretary of the School of Public Policy and Management Party Committee, Wang Yibao, Dean, Yan Qingwu and Li Aibin, Deputy Deans, Song Xiewu, Director of the MPA Center, and Gong Yunlong, Director of the Office of International Cooperation and External Exchange. The meeting was chaired by Dean Wang Yibao.
Both sides introduced the attendees one by one. During the meeting, Dean Wang Yibao elaborated on the background of the school and the college, the discipline settings, the MPA center, and the vision for cooperation in detail. Director Natalia introduced the Russian side institutions. Secretary Yu Wei provided a specific reference plan for the MPA cooperation model, and both sides reached a preliminary consensus on this plan, laying a solid foundation for further in-depth exchanges and cooperation promotion. Director Natalia gave constructive suggestions on the proposed cooperation and hoped that this discussion meeting would serve as an opportunity for continuous promotion of MPA cooperative education-related matters and the signing of memorandums of cooperation between the two institutions.
The convening of this meeting marks the acceleration of the internationalization process of the school of public policy and management, providing an opportunity for deepening cooperation between Chinese and Russian universities, building an international scientific research platform for teachers, and providing opportunities for internationalized education for students. At the same time, it also provides momentum for the high-quality international development of the school of public policy and management.
